Floating farm

The first floating farm in the world was realized in Rotterdam. Priorities are: animal welfare, circularity, sustainability and innovation. Producing healthy food in cities, close to the consumer. We call this "Transfarmation".

It is important for the Floating Farm to combat food losses, reduce food transport and improve the quality of the food. But of course also animal welfare, circularity, sustainability and innovation. Bring the farm back into the city as part of a clean, livable and conscious urban transformation.

Floating Farm stands for circular farming: a large part of our cows' diet consists of organic residual flows from the city. For example, our cows are fed beer grains from a number of Rotterdam breweries, bran from Schiedam mills, grass from nearby sports fields and potato peelings from a local processor.
